Orange Oncology Service

Daffodil Cottage to the Department of Radiation Oncology Orange Bus Service.

Are you having difficulty attending radiation treatment in Orange? If so, the mini bus service from Daffodil Cottage to the Department of Radiation Oncology Orange could assist you. The bus service runs Mondays to Fridays. You will need to be assessed to identify if you qualify to use the service. For more information contact Bathurst Community Transport.

Who is eligible to use the Bus Service?

This service is designed to support community members to access cancer treatment on a daily basis at the Department of Radiation Oncology Orange. Persons who are assessed as eligible under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Community Care Supports Program, Community Transport Program (CTP), frail, aged, younger persons with disabilities, their carers, and persons who are transport disadvantaged will have priority to this service. Other persons who are receiving cancer treatment and are experiencing difficulties accessing Orange Base are also able to access spare seating when it exists.

$5 Return. If you are unable to pay the contribution, please let our office know as ‘Can Assist’ may be in the position to assist you.

Reliance Bank Support

Bathurst Community Transport is appreciative of the support received from Reliance Bank for the Bathurst Radiation Bus Service, an unfunded service.  Reliance Credit Union, now Reliance Bank has sponsored this service since 2014 to the turn of $40,000, now committing another $45,000 over the next three years (2017 to 2020.  Without this type of support, Bathurst Community Transport would not be in the position to provide this much-needed transport, running five days per week, 51 weeks of the year and powered by Volunteers.
