Our Story

Bathurst Community Transport began in 1978 when some visionary councillors identified a need for transport and began hiring buses to bring residents from Oberon and Blayney in to Bathurst for shopping once a fortnight. From those small beginnings we have grown to now have a fleet of 10 vehicles and some 30 staff and volunteers.

BCT is run by a volunteer Management Committee. A committed group of experienced business people who guide the organisation through many years of growth and success.

Funding is provided by the Department of Health and by Transport for NSW
